Let the new world begin today

In esoteric circles this day is described as a portal, an opening in the gates of time, a wormhole into timelessness through which humanity’s new age will arrive—or through which humans who are ready will ascend.  This aspiration itself reflects how much humanity has shifted in recent years—from fearing the approach of 2012, the end of the Mayan Calendar, to celebrating the birth of a new order—a thousand-year period of peace and prosperity, a time of Oneness. 

In truth, there is no reason to wait for the clock.  Let the new world begin now, this very moment, for the new world is birthed in the depth of each human heart.  Each human soul, incarnated as a manifestation of the Divine, remembering only dimly its Source, must decide once and for all to throw off the blinders of forgetfulness.  Must steadfastly refuse to live in fear.  Must deny the illusion of separateness.  Must say, to herself and the world, I will no longer bear the pain of inequality—the glaring contrast of privilege and oppression.  I will no longer bear to see our beautiful planet sacrificed out of greed and ignorance.  I will choose this day to claim my power: that I and my brothers and sisters are ONE; that we are one with all of life; that we cannot harm each other without suffering ourselves; that we do not need to harm each other, for there is plenty for all—if that is our intention and purpose.

Joined together in creative common purpose, in joy and in love, we can in this moment create the new world.  We create it in our intention, we create it in our words and actions, and, like the Children of Israel, we watch as the walls of Jericho, the walls that we have allowed to separate us, come tumbling down.
